About Me :

I have been creating with Floral Punch Craft for five years.

It is a fantastic art and all who see it just love the way it imitates the real thing. Although initially it looks daunting, once you have mastered the character shapes and are used to handling the tools, the craft is simple. Floral Punch Craft is very relaxing and your cares disappear once you are involved in your special creation.

I have the added benefit of being able to regularly attend classes with Leone and thus am truly blessed.

All my friend look forward to birthdays and special occasions to receive their card and many have had their extra special cards framed.

Just remember your talent is only limited by your imagination.

Enjoy - Jan M

I have been involved in craft for many years and discovered Floral Punch Craft late 1998, Although it was 1999 before the bug got me when I was able to get book 1 and have enjoyed doing the craft since then.

I find FPC a rewarding and relaxing craft and really enjoy sharing what I learn with other craft minded people.

About Me :

I have learnt and enjoyed doing many crafts over the years.

Once I started with Floral Punch Craft I was hooked.

Learning how to create flowers with a punch, paper and special shaping techniques is quite amazing. Floral Punch Craft is one of the most relaxing hobbies I have known. For the past year many a pleasant hour has been spent making my floral creations, and I look forward to the many more yet to come.

I enjoy teaching and showing others the finer points of Floral Punch Craft: Seeing their look of triumph when they create their first flower is very rewarding!

About Me

In 2000 I attended a parchment camp in South Australia, where Leone was one of the tutors. I already had Floral Punch Craft book 1 and was thrilled to be in Leone's class. I came home with Floral Punch Craft II book, tools and
some punches.
That year everyone received birthday and Christmas cards like the design I learnt at camp. They were all thrilled!!

I love flowers and have enjoyed creating them in embroidery and especially silk ribbon embroidery. Now by using character shaping techniques on punched paper shapes I can create the flowers I love. Floral Punch Craft is a relaxing and exciting hobby.

Over the years I have enjoyed teaching many crafts and look forward to sharing the techniques of Floral Punch Craft with others.

Cheers Nora

About Me :
I have been involved with Floral Punch Craft in one way or another for approximately 3 years. Passing on to others, the knowledge of how to create beautiful flowers and designs gives me a great feeling along with personal satisfaction.

Seeing the faces and listening to people who, for the first time see a lifeless, flat piece of paper seemingly come alive always makes me smile.

It’s in giving you receive. I hope the skill I pass on to others will be seen in people enjoying themselves, making beautiful cards/gifts and in turn giving them to loved ones and friends.

Hope to see you, Wayne

About Me :
I have been teaching crafts for several years and enjoy the interaction with others.

In 1999 I saw Leone at a craft show and found myself continually drawn back to watch her demostration. I left with several punches and FPC Book 1.

I bought each new book and continue with the craft in a small way until Leone's visit to Tasmania both inspired and motivated me. Now I look forward to passing some of that inspiration onto my students.

Cheers Margaret.

About Me :
I have had a love of paper and paper crafts for many years, started with quilling, teabag folding then came parchment craft, I am a Fellow of the parchment craft Guild and have taught crafts in Centagraph ( our local Aladdin's cave !! ) for six /seven years.

It was here that I first saw Leone's books, I was amazed how she made flowers that looked real from just a punch and paper, I was hooked.

I  started to teach FPC, and was very lucky to meet Leone when she came to the UK. in February 2003, her enthusiasm and skill spurred me on and I was delighted when she asked me to do the Accredited Teachers course.

I get such pleasure and satisfaction in craft work that I hope that I can pass this on to others, the big smiles at the end of a successful workshop is an extra bonus.

About Me :
I learnt about Floral Punch Craft at the beginning of 2003.

Always being a craft minded person I quickly developed a love for this fascinating craft.

It has always amazed me how a piece of paper can be turned into such a beautiful flower.

It has made me more aware of the creation around me and I find myself studying flowers out in the garden and looking at how they are made.

To do this craft has been so relaxing and rewarding.

Most of all is the pleasure of being able to pass on to others what I have learnt and to see the look of glee in their faces when they too have created something lovely.

About Me

I  saw Floralpunchcraft for the first time in 2000 in the Craft Pavillion at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

I purchased Book 1 immediately and began looking at the flowers. I wanted to find someone who could teach me how and tell me where to find all the tools and punches needed.

I moved up the Central Coast and 'someone up above,' was looking out for me,  because my enquires led me to a little Craft shop in Long Jetty where Leone, just happened to be coming that month, to teach classes. I was in heaven as I learned to make violets and lilac and fuschias from the very person who developed this magical craft.

Now, I am in a position to pass on what I have learned to anyone near me who longs to find out, as I did, how to create such life-like beauty from flat paper and to feel the wonder of creativity it brings.

I am learning all the time and find all aspects of paper arts of interest and look forward to sharing  with young and old, male and female and most of all with those who didn't think they could possibly make that.

Yours in creativity,

Sue

I have been a dedicated Floral Punch Craft fan for more than four years after reading Leone's books in the craft store where I used to work, I bought the video and taught myself how to make Leone's beautiful flowers. I was lucky enough to watch Leone demonstrate here in the UK and was so inspired I wanted to teach it myself.

I have been working in the craft industry for ten years and teach rubber stamping. Floral Punch Craft has added a whole new dimension to my work and I could spend every day making flowers. I mix rubber stamping with my flower cards and really enjoy sharing this craft with the lovely ladies who I meet around the country. I travel all over the UK and each shop I visit and each class I teach gives me great pleasure when I see how much enjoyment people get from this amazing craft.

I have a treasured photograph of Leone and me at a workshop in Yorkshire taken a couple of years ago. It was great to work with her and I picked up some useful tips and techniques. I shall always remember Leone collecting the empty little jam jars from the breakfast table to use for her glue pots!

Regards, Jane

I have been making cards using all sorts of techniques for about 12 years,  I have also been involved with many other crafts.

In 2003 I discovered the FPC shop at Rosanna were I watched Wayne turn a paper balloon into a flower. Needless to say I have been hooked since, with many visits and a couple of lessons with Leone herself at the shop since.

The looks on the faces of the people who receive the cards created is very rewarding in itself. The beauty of a created flower given as a gift does not die but can be framed to keep forever.

I have already passed the love of FPC onto my Mother and all three of my children.
I look forward to passing onto others the techniques that I have learnt so that they may also appreciate Floral Punch Craft.

HELEN RUSSELL-CLARK
South East Queensland, Australia.

About me

It was in 2000 that I bought my first punches in order to make gift tags to complement my hand embroidered bunny rugs. Other interests of mine include flat dried flower arrangements, cross-stitch, sewing (soft furnishings as well as costumes for drama, and dressmaking) and patchwork. I have also taught various crafts to small groups for many years.

Outside, I love my garden and enjoy watching the wildlife that visits us.

Enter - Floral Punch Craft - I was hooked. My supply of punches grew as well as my knowledge and love of the craft.  I purchased each new book as soon as it became available and of course the "must have" punches.

Whilst on holidays in Melbourne in 2004 I was able to visit the shop in Rosanna. Leone came down to meet with me, albeit for just a few minutes.  I did spend longer in the shop buying goodies and asking lots of questions.

Wayne's willingness to share his knowledge that day, is something I will always cherish.  The experience from that day made me more determined to follow my dream that one day I would be able to teach Floral Punch Craft in Queensland.

My friends and family have to touch my floral creations to confirm that they are indeed made from paper.  The life that can be given to a piece of paper through character shaping is amazing.  Cards and other floral pieces, made and given with love, are treasured by those who receive them.

Through Floral Punch Craft I have made some new and highly valued friendships. The times when we get together are wonderful days for the giving and receiving of ideas.

Cheers

I have always participated in some sort of craft for as long as I can remember.

But nine has been as rewarding or satisfying as Floral Punch Craft.

In 2002 I saw, at a market stall, a demonstration of card stamping. I was quite interested and booked a lesson with the demonstrator. I invited my Sister and a friend to attend as well.

The stamping never seemed to look completed and when I came upon Floral Punch Craft it seemed to be a wonderful complimentary item.

I was so wrong!!

Floral Punch Craft is the item and the most relaxing and creative hobby I have experienced.

The pleasure and surprise friends have at seeing how paper can be shaped into life like flowers is a joy.

After attending the Queensland workshop in June 2005 with Leone and some wonderful craft minded friends I was truly hooked.

I am delighted to be able to pass on my love for this craft to as many people as possible.

Thank you Leone for your inspiration.

I didn’t find my hobby..it found me.  Approximately 2 ½ years ago, after a friend of mine had given me a number of hand made cards,  I decided I would like to make some for my own family and friends.  I enjoyed receiving mine so much I wanted to share this joy with them.  So I was inspired by a dear friend,  the hobby of card making found me.

I soon found myself in the local craft shop buying my first FPC book which of course I still treasure.  My first achievement was the #15 rose and was amazed at the result I had achieved.  I was hooked.  I now have all the books and video and several punches.  Can’t wait for the release of book VIII.

I was so lucky to be able to attend the workshop in Queensland.  There I met the most amazing people including a very  talented lady who could turn a piece of paper into a beautiful work of art.  The flowers she created inspired me in a way I never imagined.  I wanted to become a teacher.  I want to thank this very talented lady Leone, for her inspiring work and the time spent teaching others her wonderful craft.

Now that I have been accepted into the Teachers Guild, I will do my best to share what I know with other people and spread this wonderful craft.

Thanks for giving me this opportunity, Leone.

I have always adored bushwalking, admiring all the wildflowers and their intricate designs, I also enjoy the splendour of the many gardens and parks around this State.

My first introduction to Floral Punch Craft was via a friend, who showed me one of the roses. WOW, from paper!

Of course my initial thought was — “I’d never be able to do that”.

Not to be denied, I went and purchased FPC 1, a couple of punches some paper and set about trying my hand at the amazing flowers within these pages…….. I was Hooked!!

Thus began the magical journey of creating beautiful, lifelike flowers from paper, even our Native flowers too!!

The feedback from Family and Friends who continually received floral cards, has been amazing and only heightened my addiction and fuelled the hunger to learn more, thus my collection of books, video and punches grew.

The joy, pleasure and relaxing days spent making floral creations has been the most rewarding times of my life.

I feel honoured, thrilled and Blessed, that I am now able to teach and share this knowledge with others, and I will mostly enjoy seeing the magic that they too can create, and when they say….”I can do that”!!

Hi everyone,

I am a working Mother who loves flowers, but unfortunately I’m not what you’d call a talented gardener. Flowers bring me a lot of pleasure and I was pleasantly surprised to discover this amazing craft which allowed me to replicate the natural beauty of flowers without doing any real gardening!

I was instantly attracted to a card made out of floral punch craft along with Leone’s books at a craft show nearly 3 years ago. Since purchasing my first book I have enjoyed the craft with passion and I now own all the books and the video.

While giving pleasure it also helps me relax easily, especially after a busy day at work. I am a certified parchment craft teacher as well and enjoy teaching. I would love to share with others the knowledge and happiness that this fascinating and relaxing craft offers!

Regards,
Shanti

I have been searching for the ideal craft for as long as I can remember, I have tried them all, Folk art; parchment work; glass engraving, ribbon weaving, candle making and Teddies, but now my search is over, I have found my dream.

I first became interested in the year 2000 at the Craft Show in Sydney. I saw the Floral Punchcraft book and decided it was just what I was looking for. I had been making flowers out of parchment paper for a while before this, but they were nothing like the real flowers we achieve with this craft. I purchased the book and the basic tools and was on my way. I adore making these flowers that we create; they are so natural and actually look like the real flowers growing in our gardens. I have been lucky to attend two classes with Leone the first in Yorkshire, England while I was over there for a family wedding. I was even more “hooked” when I got back. Then in June 2005 I joined other members of the association for one week’s workshop in Queensland with Leone. It was then that I realised how much joy you can get from crafting with like minded people, how relaxing the craft is and how much I want to share it with as many people as possible. Thank you Leone for making it all happen.

BARBARA WALKER
Queensland, Australia

Hello Everyone,

My craft history began in primary school when I was taught hand-sewing and from there I progressed to dress-making, tapestry, cross-stitch, knitting, crochet,  candlewicking, patchwork, embroidery and quilting.  Throughout my growing years I practiced many of these crafts and then I learnt scrapbooking and card-making with various embellishments.

In 1999 I visited the Craft show at the Brisbane Convention Centre at Southbank and saw the most beautiful floral creations out of paper.  My immediate thought was – HOW? I asked the lady on the stall and she told me about Leone Em and her books on Floral Punch craft.  I purchased Book 1 and some punches so I could learn this wonderful craft.  Learning how to do the character shaping was - initially - a challenge and I am sure they were not quite right.

I accessed the website and found the chat room and ‘met’ a great group of people all interested in the same craft as myself.  I then physically met several of the members and the craft days that we had at various houses just reinforced my joy in this craft.

In 2005 a group of ladies in Queensland arranged for Leone to do a weeklong series of workshops at Kawana on the Sunshine coast and I just HAD to attend.  What a dynamo Leone is!  She willing corrected flaws that I had with perfecting the shaping’s and she was so willing to pass on her knowledge to all present.  In 2007 I attended another weeklong craft session at the home of Floral Punch Craft in Melbourne .  I was again amazed by Leone’s ability to transform a simple piece of paper into a beautiful flower.  The participants at that workshop have become dear friends.  Following that workshop I decided that If I truly wanted to share the joy of Leone’s gift, I should do what was necessary to become a member of the Teacher’s Guild.  Unfortunately life threw a curve ball and illness prevented me from fulfilling my dream at that time.   I have now completed the course work and been granted membership into the Teacher’s Guild.

Thank you, Leone, for all your encouragement and guidance.  I look forward to spreading the joy of Floral Punch Craft to many of my friends and their friends.

Barbara Walker
