Flowers:

1. Punch 10 white shapes with the Large Scallop punch.
|
|
2. Trim the shapes as shown in the diagram leaving 7 scallops per flower
|
|

|
3. Paint one side of each shape deep blue |
|
4. Pick up blue paint on the lower end of an angled paint brush and white paint with the higher end.
|
|

|
|
5. Paint both colours together, sweeping around from the top of the first, right hand scallop down towards the point at the bottom.
|
|
|
|
6. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 until the 7 scallops have been painted. Diagram shows scallops being painted
|
|
7. Repeat Step 6, painting the 10 trimmed shapes.
|
|
TIP: Wash the paintbrush frequently.
|
|
Leaves:
|
|
8. Punch 11 Small and 8 Medium Ash Leaves from the green paper. |
|
Panel:
|
|
9. Trim a cream panel 18.5cm (7 ¼”) high by 42mm (1 5/8”) wide.
|
|

|
|
10. Punch along each side with the Border, Frame - Star punch.
|
|
11. Trim a piece of silver paper the same height but slightly wider.
|
|
12. Use double sided sticky tape to affix the two panels together with the silver underneath. The silver will show through the punched pattern and allow a small silver border, on both sides, to be seen.
|
|
13. Attach the panel to the left hand side of the card using the double sided sticky tape.
|
|
|
|
Burgundy and white on a cream backgroung gives an elegant appearance..
|
|
Arrangements:
|
|
14. Follow the placement of the flowers and leaves as shown in the completed, coloured illustration.
|
|
15. Adhere the insert paper into position to complete the card.
|
|
16. Add a greeting, if required
|
|
Stamens:
|
|
17. Paint tiny burgundy dots at the top of each flower. |
|
Hints:
|
|
Remove the base point from the flower when a smaller flower is required.
|
|
Change the Colours:
|
|
Change the colours to suit the occasion. Use gold instead of silver paper under the panel.
